How good is Halo if you're not a big fan of FPS'?

Maybe try Bioshock or dead Space first, those are really good Sci-Fi titles.

Yeah no, get something with less shooting or something that is mainly story-driven. Halo pretends to be story driven unfortunatley. Dead Space, Bioshock, Phantasy Star Universe if you can find a copy and forgive the horrid voice-acting. Oh and Star Ocean The Last Hope, also forgive the voices lol but its a great game. The ultimate advice tho? Mass Effect series from the beginning. Shooting is a main staple but story is even more so, forgive bioware's slip up in mass effect 3's ending and enjoy the series for the gem it truly is. Thats the best sci-fi you can get really is mass effect

I never liked Fps games either, but Halo Reach made me see it in a whole new target, i would really recommend getting it since i thought it was really fun :)

If you don't like the gameplay then it's not going to change your mind... but people who do like FPS's all seem to be loving Halo 4. I am, at least.
