I got married in April and changed my last name on my social security card and license.?

I did not however change it on my paystubs or on my bank account. How would I do taxes with my new last name or old one?

File with the name on your social security card. It doesn't matter what's on your paychecks, they'll match those up by ss#. If there's a different name on the bank account though and you try to do a direct deposit of your refund, they might not take it, so get the bank account changed over to your new name.

Start with the DMV. In Oregon here are the instructions. For banks, you can keep the same accounts, just show the clerk your marriage license, etc. Once you get the drivers license done, personal credit cards are easy. Business cards are harder. Just comply with what the clerk needs. FYI, the SSN offices are sometimes jerks, so go early. I had to get a new card. I had all my papers filled out, but I had to wait for like 2.5 hours while all these people with all their questions with no ID or anything were using up the clerks time asking questions. When I went up there I was done in 2 minutes. I just gave them my paperwork. They were happy. Printed me a receipt and said I would get my new card in a couple of weeks.

Women get married all the time. No big deal (except to them of course.) Your tax return has to have the same last name as Social Security has.

File your tax return with the name that is currently on your Social Security card. The income items that have your old name still go on your tax return.
