Help ! Boy trouble ,clinically depressed :(?

I happened to meet a boy at my class , 3weeks back . It was very random , since the class was cancelled and I was sitting alone ,sketching and the tutor asked me to hand over a question paper to a boy who was to come and pick it up . 20min later he arrived on his bike , and I gave him his paper and he started talking to me . He sat with me for an hour and we spoke , very casually , and then when I had to leave , he asked for my number and I gave it to him . He happens to be 2 years younger to me ,by the way . After , going back home , he started texting me , and in 3-4hrs , he asked me out !:O I was really taken aback , but I kept telling him to take it slow . At first I din't take him seriously , but after talking to him and meeting him , I started to like him ALOT ! and I did like the idea of dating . But after a week , he sent me a message saying " I want you to be naughty" which freaked me out , and I instictively said . I think your going to fast , we should be "friends ". Since that night , he has been extremly angry with me , and nor does he want to talk to me . He did mention that he suffers from clinical depression . He has been very impulsive , and doesn't want to talk to me at all . I was being careful and din't want to jump into another relationship after getting my heart broken twice , so I wanted to take things slow . But ever since I said we should "be friends" he has cut off completely from me . He told me not to text him too . I feel really bad . He dint want to hear me out and kept saying I hurt him and I broke his heart . But all I wanted to do was take things slow , since I wanted to be careful and not end up with a broken heart . But he has been very stubborn ever since . I did get very angry and upset with his behavior and sent him some mean texts , and he too was very rude at first .Just one word" friends" ruined everything . What should I do ? Give it time ? Or let him go? He is a boy who has some serious issues , and he kept saying he leads a bad life . He did not mention why though . Is it the depression thats making him impulsive? Will he come around? I really really love him , and He was very romantic and sweet before I said "we should be friends" Please be kind and honest with your replies :) thanks
