Starting up problems with car engine?

Car ONLY starts when its above the half meter mark on the gas gauge. anything below it'll just keep cranking but not start up.

Yes it cranks

its an old car 1993

automatic

it is winter right now and ever since it was cold i been having problems, could that be it?

I also have to give it gas when starting up or else it won't start and just keep cranking

Fuel pump is working. Battery is fine.( i have a line that connects to my battery for my subs in my trunk, i don't think that is the problem right?)

again, it cranks but doesn't start up unless i give it gas while cranking and if the fuel gauge is over the half way mark.

Any help is reallllly appreciated. thankyou

The fuel could be loosening it's prime, that means it's leaking back into your tank. You need change fuel pump and change fuel filter.

Could be a dirty fuel pump filter, or replace the fuel filter.

    Also check the spark plugs.

faulty fuel gauge? top the tank to brim see how much fuel you have to put in. then compare it to fuel tank capacity. if its not that probably a blockage in the fuel lines.

except the nice and comfortable button is a coded key, which I doubt an 01 Neon has, then that should not be your situation, If it became then it does not initiate in any respect, take it someplace else which will examine the two the battery and alternator back
