into the woods?... please help? :)?

Question

so, my highschool is doing the musical, "into the woods" im so excited for it! i actually have two questions. 
1.) what part should i audition for? im 5'10, and my voice range is higher than alto, but lower than soprano. so, i'd be around a soprano 2.. right? my singing is pretty good right now. i can act quite good. ive gotten a few awards for best supporting actress. i was thinking the witch, or the bakers wife... i still dont know.
2.) what song should i audition with? (i already explained my voice above)

You sound like you should go for the Baker's wife or the witch... wow you are spot on! The Baker's wife is technically a bigger role but the witch is known for being a show stealer (that's a good thing btw :D) I personally would go for the Witch. Also for the Baker's wife you need to be comfortable with romantic scenes so idk if that's a problem... break a leg :)

Hi. Great job taking a chance and auditioning! If you're looking for a lead, I would suggest the baker's wife, since the witch goes pretty low. Another part you might be interested in is Little Red. If you're auditioning with a song from the show, you might want to try the beginning of the curtain music ( up until the "into the woods.. part) because it has a good range, or I know things now.
