Which baby names do you hate and why?

List names and name trends that you personally dislike.

Mine:

- Overly creative names. Some are just weird and make the kid sound weird. The worst are the ones that are unpronounceable. Imagine being Na-a (pronounced Nadasha).

- Stupid spellings to normal names. I don't think makes a common name more unique at all. Xakeri anyone? Britney/Brittney/Brytney/etc. Although I think mild, traditional variations of a name like Alannah/Alanna, Aimee, Mollie, Hollie, Jon, Johnathon are acceptible.

- Boringly common names. I know too many Emilys/Emilies and Hannahs.

- 'Aiden' names. Aiden, Ayden, Aidyn, Hayden, Brayden, Jaiden. Common and almost everyone spells them differently. Failed attempt at producting a creative or made up name.

- Rose. I just hate it. Overused as a middle name. Whenever I hear it I imagine a fat woman wearing pink (I have no idea why). I also don't really like actual roses.

- Ava, again I just hate it. Mainly because it sounds kinda silly to me. It's also common. I hate the usual middle name combinations that usually go with it, 'Ava Grace', 'Ava Elizabeth', 'Ava Rose'.

- Isabella/Bella, Twilight phenomenon. Overused. Nuff said.

- Nevaeh, no explanation needed.

- Most English word names but particularly virtue names. Hope, Diesel, Chastity, Beautiful, Star, Tree, Cloud, Rainy, Storm.

- Masculine names for girls. Genderbending names. Most unisex names. Do you want people to confuse your child's gender for the rest of their life? I hate Madison in particular, but maybe partically because I had a school bully called Madison.

- Anything trendy or 'modern'. Usually bad. Also tend to be common for their generation. Tend to sound trashy or lower class (appologies to people who are of lower socioeconomic status). This also includes celebrity names for babies. Kardashian names (Kim, Khloe, 'K' whatever but usually meant to be a 'C').

- Cute for a baby but ridiculous on an adult. How would something like 'Pixie' or 'Bo' sound on a badass motorcycle rider, a Lawyer, an academic, a doctor, a mechanic, a forty-something?

I know this list seems a bit long, but that's about it.

    - Anything that is a place name. Tacky and stupid.

    - Virtue names or "nature" names like Summer Rain or Willow.

    - Stupid made up names by people trying to be unique

    - Naming a kid after an alcoholic drink. Really?!

Plus pretty much all of your list.

My name is Tiffanni. It's the stupidest way to spell the name Tiffany. My mom is not that bright. I also hate when they spell it Tiffaney which is even stupider. My bros name is Jacob, and there are way too many Jacobs. Every person I know has a brother name Jacob. I hate those celebrities who name their kid something weird. Blue Ivy anyone? I don't like common names either. But my bff's name is Emily. My bro is going to name his second child Krishna if it's a girl or Orrick if it's a boy. WTF! how did they come up with that! "So we can name our son Jon ORrick" lol

My least favorite girl name is by far Makenzie, or any other spelling variation. It is over used and I just don't think it is a pretty name, maybe it is just the "makenzie's" that i know, but to me it is one of those "brat" names.

Least favorite boy name is Liam, I don't know why, i have just never liked it.

Also like you said "unisex names" Jamie, Jessie, Jordan, Taylor, Dylan so on.

Also boy names that should be girl names: Ashley, Leslie, so forth

    And obviously stupid celebrity names

Thanks for giving everyone on here a chance to rant :)
