Mixing these Herbs/Supplements safe?
I would like to know if there are any dangers to mixing the following. I have added these to my daily diet to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol.
-Olive Leaf Powder: ~1000mg Daily
-Coriander: 1-3 grams Daily
-Milk Thistle: 300mg Daily
-Ginkgo Biloba: Between 150-200mg Daily
Just to add I do drink 1-3(3 at most) drinks of alchol 5-7 nights a week. (Terrible insomnia and lowers blood pressure). Never more than 3 or for the purpose of getting drunk.
I also take 1000mg of Vitamin C, 3000mg of Fish Oil/Omega3, and 1200mg of calcium but I don't think these interact with anything.
Is the following combination safe?

Those are fine. You would probably do better if you took magnesium, a chelated kind. Also vitamin D is always good. It manages how your body uses calcium.
Alcohol may seem to help you fall asleep, but you will wake up during the night.

I have taken all of these medications over the course of my life due to anxiety and depression. I seriously doubt, however, that one doctor would prescribe ativan and klonopin at the same time because they are both meant for the same thing. There are circumstances that wellbutrin and effexor can be taken at the same time, but that combination unless seriously needed can raise blood pressure a lot because both of these drugs are more stimulating rather than relaxing. You should just mention to your friend that maybe she needs to talk to her doctor about how she can take less medication. The anti depressants arent really the issue because they arent addictive, but do have side effects. The ones I would be concerned about is the ativan and klonopin because those are addictive. If your friend really needs a medication like either one of those, I would suggest just trying to take one of them instead of both because its kind of pointless, they are both meant to calm someone when they have anxiety. All in all, what your friend is doing is not dangerous as long as she has one doctor who has prescribed all of these and is aware that she is taking all of these. The only concern is getting addicted to the ativan or klonopin. If she's a real friend she may appreciate the concern even if there is nothing wrong. Good luck!

Well of course! As far as I know, I do believe that you will be just fine with that combo. I have been pursuing herbs and supplements since about 1990, and have a great doctor who help me a lot with this kind of thing.
Go right ahead!
God bless,

It is safe to take all those supplements but you are contradicting their effects with drinking alcohol. Not that much alc. is necessary to lower blood pressure.
