What happens if you finish the stormcloak Battle for White Run before killing the first dragon?

I'm playing Skyrim and I've done all the Dark Brotherhood quests, and have joined the Stormcloak rebellion. But I'm worried that if I complete the Storm Cloak Battle for White Run Quest I will be unable to kill the first Dragon and finish the main quest.

    The game will force you to kill the first dragon befor you can do "The battle for whiterun" quest.

    As far as I know it mostly changes the jarl on the thrown. But just to be safe finish the main quest first.
