Is Creepypasta.com haunted?

A friend told me earlier today that the website Creepypasta . com was haunted, and that every time someone goes on there, a spirit leaks out and haunts you giving you paranoia. I know that some people get really paranoid about the stories because it put fear into them and kind of effs up our childhood, like the one about Ed, Edd, and Eddy living in purgatory and thats why a lot of the things they did seemed like repeats... they had one of The Simpsons where Bart is sucked out of a plane and dies and at the end of the episode, the town was empty and everyone was dead and the tombstones had celebrity names and when they were going to die on them and the video was apparently a "real" episode. Slenderman is one of the most real stories I've heard though, that one doesn't scare me as much as what my friend told me this morning... Sorry for the long story but I need to know if the site is haunted or not... because I know there are programs out there that are "alive" and "watch" everything you do on a computer... creepy...

No, these type of sites are meant to scare people and make them pause and think deep about scary things. But you shouldn't believe everything you read.

Programs out there that "watch" everything you do on a computer do exist, they are called trojans, spyware and keyloggers.

On June 8th, 2009, a “’paranormal pictures” photoshop contest was launched on the Something Awful (SA) Forums.[1] The contest required participants to turn ordinary photographs into creepy-looking images through digital manipulation and then pass them on as authentic photographs on a number of paranormal forums. Something Awful users soon began sharing their faux-paranormal creations with layered images of ghosts and other anomalies, usually accompanied by a fabricated witness account to make them more convincing. On June 10th, SA user Victor Surge posted two black and white photographs of unnamed children with a short description of “Slender Man” as a mysterious creature who stalked children

On June 11th, 2009, Victor Surge continued to improve upon the myth by adding another picture and a fake doctor’s account. The following day, SA user LeechCode5 posted a photograph of a burning building with a Slender Man back story. On June 14th, SA goon TrenchMaul reused the Slender Man character for his own story. The original thread, which still remains active today, extends for 46 pages as of June 2011.

So it's just made up. It's not real.

No, of course not. They are just made-up stories, even if they sound real that`s because they ARE meant to sound real, to scare people; and that`s the main point of the site. Don`t believe in everything you hear. And regarding the last part, well yes there are programs designed for that, but only specific sites like facebook, youtube, twitter, Craigslist and all those popular sites. But it`s only just for safety issues, and its not like they are specifically "spying" on you, or constantly or in detail. So, no worries.
