If REAL quality is an issue, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like V-Moda, Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed. Please do NOT fall a victim to FASHION ACCESSORIES by buying Sol/Republic/Revolution, Noontec Zoro's, Benetton, a-jays, iFrogz, Marley, Fanny Wang, Razer, Karl Kani, WESC, Turtle, JH, Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters nor Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), BE THEM FAKE OR NOT!

Also, please do NOT go for the overly thumping bass that only distorts everything else, focus on GOOD sound quality and durability IN GENERAL.

i latterly went into an audio keep, and replaced into cautioned the Skullcandy Uprocks, so i have been given them. They were 30 U.S. money. They worked really properly, and were really comfortable. they did not have the finest bass contained in the international, in spite of the indisputable fact that it replaced into fantastically good for below 30$. Then, by using three of my pals fooling round, they broke. thankfully I had a guaranty so I went back to the keep to get some new ones. they did not have any extra Skullcandy Uprocks, so as that they gave me the subsequent best Skullcandy headphones they'd, that were the Skullcandy Hesh. They were 50 U.S. money. they're nevertheless operating large. the finished element about them, is their bass. I actually love the bass. they're useful and comfortable as well. the in common words undesirable element about them nonetheless, is that when I positioned on them for about an hour or 2, my ears commence to get quite warm and uncomfortable. desire this helped.

It really depends on what you're looking for and your price range.

For a cheap pair The sennheiser 201 :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

is a good buy. I have these they sound like high end headphones and have decent build despite being plastic.

Skullcandy is ok if u like heavier bass which I don't

Sol Republic is a good pair in the 125-150 range

for high end I'd go with audio technica, grado, or again sennhiser

I would look into these if you want to spend around $100.

If you want to spend around $20 or $30. I would look into Sony, Maxell, Panasonic. These companies have been in business for a long time. I would buy these brands over Skullcandy.
