No the world will not end tomorrow.
The the Mayan calendar does not really predicted the end of the world in 2012 on December 21. It is only indicated as being the end of a 13th major cycle and there are other dates mentioned beyond it. The notion of a "Great Cycle" coming to an end is completely a modern invention.
However we do seem to be approaching the end times period of history in this year of 2012. For example, Jesus predicted for the end times seem to be on the increase now such as false Christs, wars and rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes. (See Matthew Chapter 24) We are seeing more and more of these things and also unusual weather. Astronomers also predict possible huge solar storms out of the sun in 2013, which could disrupt satellites.
According to those who have studied Bible prophecy, we will experience a 7 year period called the Great Tribulation (before the 2nd coming of Christ) in which "the beast" or anti-Christ will rise up to rule the world. This world leader will bring in a cashless system in which no one can buy or sell without a mark on the right hand or forehead. This will most likely be a microchip implant with all financial information.
“It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.” (Revelation 13:16-18)
There is now a big push towards one world government and the microchip implant technology. Politicians talk more about the need for global governance and a new world order. Microchips are now being used on around 8 million pets in the USA and are now being used on humans for medical ID and security. More systems are being set up to discourage and stop the use of cash.
When the microchip cashless system is fully put into place, do not receive the mark! All who get it will be condemned forever.
We could soon be catapulted into a worldwide government with a cashless system. When chaos occurs, people can get desperate and turn to powerful government control.
The US government now has over 16 trillion dollars in debt. There are over 600 trillion dollars worth of derivatives (bundled debts) circulating in the financial world and much of that is toxic A number of analysts are predicting 2012 or soon after to be a time of economic chaos. Gerald Celente of the Trends Institute says that in 2012 we will likely have an “economic 9/11”. This could be accompanied by war with Iran and/or collapse of the US dollar. There could be shortages of food and starvation in the USA.
While 2012 will not be the end of the world, we may see economic chaos and a march toward one world oppressive government soon. So we should prepare ourselves practically and also spiritually. Be ready to oppose world government and this this mark of the beast.
We have all broken Gods laws such as stealing, lying, pride, hatred, selfish ambition, and so on. We are all are guilty before God. All of us really deserve to be separated from God forever. But Jesus paid the penalty for all our wrongdoings on the cross. You can receive total forgiveness and eternal life only though receiving him as Lord and Savior. It is your choice. Those who do never will have to fear death or the end of the world.

Don’t you recognize a SCAM when you see one???
Doomsday stories are a hoax or a scam.
The only thing that is going to happen on 21 Dec is the Solstice, which happens twice a year, 21 or 22 Dec and again on 21 or 22 June.
The Solstice will occur on 21 Dec at 1112 GMT or 0612 Eastern Time (New York).
A solstice is an astronomical event that occurs twice each year as the Sun reaches its highest or lowest excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere. For the United States it is the Winter Solstice, the Shortest day of the year. For Australia it is the Summer Solstice, the Longest day of the year which will be on the 22nd.
More details about the Solstice can be found on this web site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solstice
All of the Doomsday stories are a hoax, a fraud, and an absolute con job. It is a cruel and disgusting lie being promoted by scam artists after money. The 21 Dec Hoax is centered around the Mayan Calender. The Maya actually never made a single prediction related to an apocalypse. The Mayan Calender is only one on a long list of Doomsday events.
Planet X, or Nibiru > Does not exist.
There is no Galactic Alignment. An 'exact' alignment isn't possible, because the center of the Galaxy is not in the plane of the Earth’s orbit. It’s off by about 5 and 1/2 degrees. As a comparison, the disk of the sun is about 1/2 a degree across. This means that the sun will be 11 times its own diameter away from a line through the center of the galaxy on December 21, 2012.
There will be NO 3 days of Darkness.
There is no Proton or photon Belt.
The Magnetic Poles are NOT shifting.
Alien invasion is Science Fiction so is a Zombie Invasion
There are no Asteroids close to Earth
Religious Nut Cases Abound. The Illuminati is a Myth.
Michel de Nostredame > Since the quatrains were written in Middle French, and because the original meanings were obscured by his word games, the modern English translations are so vague and replete with metaphor and allusion that you can either conclude that he makes no sense whatsoever, or that you can claim justification for any event immediately after it happens. There are NO Dates in Nostredame’s writings. If we are to believe that Nostradamus predicted an apocalyptic event in 2012, then we must then ignore the fact that his quatrains extend well beyond 2012. In fact his quatrains reach out to ~3790 AD. So either the world does end in 2012 and Nostradamus' subsequent predictions are wrong, or Nostradamus' predictions after 2012 are correct, and the prediction about 2012 is wrong. This dilemma is rarely discussed by proponents.
Harold Camping believed that the Rapture would occur on May 21st, 2011. It did not happen. We are still here.
This web page has a list of all of them: http://www.2012hoax.org/
It is relatively easy to prove that something exists or took place at some time. What is much more difficult, and perhaps impossible, is to prove that something did not exist or happen.
Don’t believe what I am telling you?? Just Wait until 25 Dec and email me. I will be here having a good laugh at all the morons and idiots.

There have been a lot of rumours and stories flying around about this date lately and I'm pretty sure we can safely say that no, the world will not end on 12/21/12 . Think about it, today is 12/20/12 and nothing has happened. No changes in weather, No pandemic influenza no abnormalities in daily life at all. Yes, eventually the world will end and yes there will always be a chance of an asteroid hitting earth as throughout our galaxy spread inbetween the planets are thousands of asteroids all ranging in size, which cross earths orbit but so far, we haven't hit any and it is impossible to predict when one of these asteroids will hit us unless it becomes very obvious that one is heading straight for us. Nasa have also assured us, that the only possible solar related effect on our planet to happen sometime between 2013 and 2014 is a small amount of solar interference which will effect mobile phones slightly. Everyone needs to stop panicing! Nothing will happen!

No, absolutely not! This is just a major hoax that people are saying to scare everyone. We have had numerous scares of the world coming to an end in the past and what happened? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I agree with everyone below except for the two idiots who say yes. The Mayans lived in a time way before day lights savings time and before leap years. So, without those two things in effect, the world should've ended months ago. I just can't wait for all those believers, websites, movies, books, etc. to be laughed at when we wake up perfectly fine on December 22.

I suspect people may think you are stupid because so many other people have also asked this question! Haven't you bothered to look at the answers that have already been given? No matter how many people ask what is 2 + 2, the answer will always be 4. The same thing applies here. Do you really think we are going to be the victims of an apocalypse? Why do you believe such nonsense?
“The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012! That’s when they predicted the world will end. It’s also when the planet Nibiru will crash into the Earth!”
Here is the truth:
(1) The Mayan calendar does NOT end on December 21, 2012.
(2) The Mayans did NOT predict the end of the world, on that date or any other.
(3) The planet Nibiru will NOT crash into the Earth on that date, because it doesn’t exist!
Don't you think it would be the most incredible coincidence if all these things were to happen on the same day? Doesn't that give you a clue that it's so unlikely that they will?
If anyone thinks I’m wrong, then I’m willing to bet them £10,000, which they can pay to me on December 22 when it’s obvious that these “predictions” are proven to be false.
The Mayan calendar has various time periods. We have days, weeks, months, years, etc. They had periods called b’ak’tuns and piktuns, among others. The periods are counted up, and, like the mileometer in a car, when one number reaches its maximum, it resets to zero and the next number along is increased. In their calendar, the “Long Count” reaches 13.0.0.0.0 on 21 December 2012, but that is NOT the end of their calendar - it resets the number of b’ak’tuns to zero and increases the number of piktuns - to 1.0.0.0.0.0! The calendar then goes to the next piktun on October 13, 4772.
In any case, the Mayans never predicted the end of the world on that date. My “normal” calendar runs out on 31 December, 2012. What will happen then? The end of the world? No! I’ll simply use another calendar for the next period of time - 2013.
"We are speaking out against deceit, lies and twisting of the truth, and turning us into folklore-for-profit. They are not telling the truth about time cycles," says Felipe Gomez, leader of the Maya alliance.
The impact of Nibiru was first announced back in 1995 by Nancy Leider, except she didn’t say it would hit us in December 2012 - the date she gave was May 15, 2003! Of course nothing happened, and she later announced a new date. Nothing happened then either, and then she heard about the 2012 story of the Mayan calendar and said it would happen then. It is obvious that this is all total rubbish and she is making this up as she goes along.
Leider claimed to have this knowledge by means of an implant in her brain, which allows her to receive messages from extra-terrestrials in the Zeta-Reticuli star system, which is a double star about 39 light-years from Earth. So firstly, how was this implant installed, and by whom, and secondly, any messages that she receives are coming from a star that is about 30º south of the southern-most star that can be seen from Nancy’s home in California. So if the star is never above the horizon, how do the messages reach her through solid rock?
We’re also supposed to believe that the astronomers on a planet around that double-star could detect planet Nibiru going around our star 39 light-years away, and yet although we have confirmed over 500 planets orbiting other stars, including one over 21,000 light-years away - almost a quarter of the distance across the galaxy - we haven’t seen Nibiru, which is supposed to be in our own back-yard!
To arrive on December 21, 2012 from a distance of the orbit of Pluto, it would have to be at that distance around December, 2003. That's over 6 months *after* the arrival date of May 2003 that Nancy gave us.
Of course, if it did exist, and was going to hit us a few days from now, it would currently be less than the distance of the Moon! Assuming it is “only” the same size as the Moon, we would have been able to see it with the naked eye for ages. All around the world are millions of amateur astronomers, and there are also huge telescopes - yet no-one has seen this thing because it isn’t there.
Actually, something interesting will happen today, on December 20. At 12 minutes past 8pm it will be 20:12 on 20/12 of 2012 :) [That's using UK formatting for the date - DD/MM]
If you want to book a space presentation on real science, or to place a bet with me about these claims, write to jstone@spaceflight-uk.com
So the bottom line is - Don't worry, nothing particular will happen on December 21, apart from the Winter Solstice and loads of people realising that they been daft to to believe this nonsense! Oh, and a group of us are meeting up to have a 2012 Apocalypse Survivors' Dinner :)
Source(s): Have some fun reading about previous predictions of the end of the world - all of which have totally failed to come true. http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm NASA has produced a video for everyone to watch on December 22 :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3o9udHJZxk I have a page on my website at http://www.spaceflight-uk.com/ Follow the link under "The end of the end of the world"! - 8 years ago
No, the world is not going to end. The sun exploding is impossible proven by the government, an apocalypse is slightly possible but all of them would die due to the terrain, diseases take more than a day to spread and that's all I can think about.
Although, because I like to have fun with these kinds of situations, I'm going to be running around the city tomorrow dressed up like a zombie, with fake make up, ripped shirts and everything with my friend to scare people to see their reactions! This is for a YouTube video!

Dec. 21, 2012, won't be the end of the world as we know, however, it will be another winter solstice.
The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

I've survived quite a lot of other raptures so I see no reason to die in this one.
There is no evidence to back up this rubbish. In fact, the reason that this theory was created is that the Mayan calendar showed evidence of some sort of apocalypse on the 21st of December, 2012. However, the calendar did not account for leap years so in theory, the world ended months ago.
But it didn't.

It's a conspiracy .. The government fills your head with lies to keep the country from going into utter panic... Do u Really think they are going to announce on the news that anything catastrophic is coming ? When 98 percent of the world is no where close to being ready for it?? No ... Complete violent chaotic panic .... If it happens it happens ... No one knows for sure until tonight at midnight ... I just hope I update my status before stuff goes down ;)

The world probably won't end it's just an ancient myth but if the myth was true the world still wouldn't end we would go through an apocalypse and their would be zombies and earthquakes and exploding volcanoes. Very unlikely though.
