Non Prior Service Army OCS applicants have to enlist. That is the only way to go to ARMY OCS for civilians, to enlist with an OCS Option. An Army OCS Officer Candidate first goes to enlisted Basic Training, paid as an E-5, if passed, he then goes to OCS. You appear to be competitive.
Might need a waiver due to dis-enrolling from ROTC as a Scholarship Cadet....
"Q. DD FORM 785 (RECORD OF DISENROLLMENT). ONLY REQUIRED IF THE SOLDIER PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED AN OFFICER PRODUCING SCHOOL (OCS, ROTC, USMA, USMMA, USNA,USAFA, ETC). (SOLDIERS PREVIOUSLY DISENROLLED FROM AN OFFICER PRODUCING PROGRAM MUST REQUEST A WAIVER FROM THE DCS, G-1 TO ATTEND OCS.)"

I feel the retired master Sergeant stated it the nice. Nevertheless, I want to add that almost all enlisted personnel prefers a officer that has experience as an enlistee before turning into an officer. Yes, your husband is certified to come to be an officer however, coming in as an officer correct of the bat from the civilian world would now not give him the right management qualities which might be needed to steer experienced and quite often, combat skilled soldiers into harms manner. This will take a heavy toll to your husband and not to mention, the chain reaction that will occur to your loved ones. My advice for you is to take a just right look earlier than your husband enlists and probably the reserves or the national safeguard is a good choice for him as he would simplest drill twice a month and two weeks in the summer. It could provide him the possibility to get a style of the navy and if he likes it, he can perpetually go lively responsibility both as an enlistee or an officer.

If there telling you to enlist, they're nuts. Recruiters are like sharks when it comes to the uninformed. Talk to a different recruiter. Your stats are amazing you'll get in. If not Army another branch will surely take you as an officer.

the stats you give are only a portion of what they are looking for.
what kind of leadership roles have you held, what kind of job experience do you have? what kind of community involvement?
the non tech degree does hurt, although not as much as it would if you were trying to get into the Navy or A.
are you speaking to an Officer accessions recruiter? they can gauge your chances of selection pretty decently. If they are telling you to enlist, it means they don't think you have a good shot at being offered a commission.

If you're 28 or older, no chances. If you're 27, a slim chance, since you packet has to go before the selection board before your 28th birthday. If you're 26 or younger, then as decent a shot as anyone else. It depends on a lot more than just what info you gave.
