2012 Notre Dame vs 2012 Ohio St?

You are half right. Notre Dame deserves to be in the title game. Ohio State does not. The Irish would dominate that matchup. Having an undefeated season is a big accomplishment, but the Big Ten had a major down year. Even if Ohio State was bowl eligible, they'd probably get in one of the other BCS bowls. But with their weak schedule, that alone would keep them out of the title game.

I would say Notre Dame.. Ohio State really didn't play anyone to warrant them being in the top 5 much less in the BCS title game....

It's a shame we have to ask these kinds of questions. Determining who's #1 and #2 should not be left up to strength of schedule and computers and reporters and polls. Get a playoff system! Maybe have a shorter regular season and the remaining schedule will be playoffs for the 8 best teams. That playoff will determine who the National Champion is. The rest of the teams play out their schedule and make bowl games. Something like that.

I don't think teams should be made inelligable for Bowl games. They should be fined and restricted in drafting and that limits them enough so they won't do very well.

Ohio State would clean up on the over-rated, lucky Irish!
