If Americans didn't have guns would there be any mass shootings?

Crazies are still crazies, they means of mass murder is what changes.

Guns have not changed appreciably since WWI. There have been no mass shootings, outside of war, like this until recently. Our Culture has made a rapid shift to secular progressiveness (self proclaimed Christian democrats are likely part of this). The culture is characterized by worldliness, self-centered and selfish. You'll see more and more of these. If not by gun, by some other means. As long as it makes some one on the far end of the bell curve "feel good about him/herself" and give them a little fame to boot.

One thing for certain: With all the money we're dumping into education; problem solving skills are simply terrible these days. Not even at the fundamental level.

That doesn't mean you wouldn't have mass killings by other means:

Mass shootings no. Mass killings yes. The worst school massacre in US history happened in 1927 where 38 kids and 7 adults were killed! The weapon used was dynamite!

Remember the Oklahoma bombings?! I guess we should ban cars and fertilizer!

1% of all murders are mass murders. More people die from falling off chairs. Should we ban them?!

More people are killed in car accidents then by guns. Another reason to ban them!

It is getting old repeating this but the truth is taking guns away from law abiding citizens will not stop Laterrence and Julio from getting them and killing innocent people

Why don't you propose a law that makes it illegal to shoot more than one person in a 24 hour period. I am sure you can see the sense in this.

both were marijuana users

both came from a broken home

both went through an education system that has killed God

how about liberals start sorting out there sick depraved society first before banning guns
