Call Of Duty: World at War vs Call Of Duty: 4?

So I have Black ops 2 and it's extremely fun. But lately I've been thinking of getting and older COD game and I have narrowed it down to 2 (the 2 from the original question obviously). So which one is better? I'm probably not going to play the campaign that much but I will for sure give it a try. But the biggest part is the online multiplayer. Which one is better? And which one has the most hackers? I know they both have hackers, but which one has more? Which one is just unplayable because of hackers? Because if for example: If COD 4's multiplayer is just a slight bit better but has WAAAAYYY more hackers, then I would get WaW. So which one? Please be detailed and best answer gets 100 points. Well, only 10.

BTW: I'm on xbox 360

CoD4:MW was the game that first introduced the various innovations that every FPS multiplayer seems to use now, like custom classes, random spawn locations, killstreaks, etc. It also has better maps (in my opinion) and a bigger variety of weapons, since WaW is still based on WWII. I know there are still a lot of people playing it online, and haven't had any problems with "hackers" personally. So I would definitely recommend that if you're mainly interested in the multiplayer, unless you know you have a strong preference for Treyarch over Infinity Ward.

But WaW DOES have the original Nazi Zombies mode, which is a ton of fun if you have a couple friends to play it with. The new versions are probably better overall, but the old maps are still fun too.

In the Campaign mode, both games have surprisingly good stories (moreso than any of the CoD games since, sadly). WaW is one of my favorite WWII games if you're into the history of that at all, but ultimately MW1's campaign is the better of the two. The story is phenomenal and feels like a smart action movie, and many of the levels are so freaking cool that almost every FPS since has copied them (Death from Above, All Ghillied Up, etc.). It's by far the best Campaign in a Call of Duty game, and sets up the story for the other Modern Warfare games too in case you ever want to play them.

So overall I'd recommend CoD 4:MW unless you really want to play a WWII game or the original Zombies mode. They're both good games, so it's a win-win either way really :)

CoD: WaW has a much better online, and a much better multiplayer.

Sadly, WaW is riddled with hackers the last time I checked, game ruining hacks like infinite HP, automatic dogs + infinite mortar attacks, etc.

Saying that, Cod4 is still amazing Campaign + Multiplayer, and its multiplayer does not have game ruining hacks, like WaW; so you won't be disappointed.

Dont worry about hackers. Theyre mostly on the PC. And I own COD 4, and its personaly my favorite, most balanced call of duty. World at war has OP stuff, such as tanks that you can drive even in multiplayer. So COD 4 would be the better choice.

WaW is the only CoD I ever liked, it's very dark, bloody and has great atmosphere. CoD4 is still considered the best modern CoD of all time though.WaW has alot of hackers though, not sure about 4.

quite i love section 4 more advantageous reason the guns are cutting-edge and the stages are cool, i basically stick to international at conflict reason all my pals switched to that when it got here out, i love playing on-line with them so i had to move to. i each so often positioned section 4 in nonetheless.
