Question about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone?

For a fan fic I'm writing, where does the scene of Hermione repairing Harry's glasses comes from? Is it canon? Or movie canon only? If book canon, at least give a chapter I can find in the book. I'm refering to the 'Oculus reparo' scene.

It could have been Steve Kloves who thought up that little fix it scene for Emma. He tended to give her these little scenes throughout the saga that emphasized Hermione's importance. For Instance, I believe it was he who decided to have Hermione come up with the idea of having the three of them jump on the back of the dragon when they were trying to escape from Gringott's in Deathly Hallows Pt 1. In the novel it was Harry who jumped on the dragon's back first.

no hermione never fixes harry's glasses. 'reparo' is a canon spell, 'oculus reparo' however is only in the movie. the rest of that scene is pretty close to the book tho.

in the book that scene is on page 105, chapter 6 ' the journey from platform nine and three-quarters' (about two thirds of the way through the chapter)

No, she mentioned trying spells in the book, but she only practiced a spell in the movie.
