It should be OK as long as it's obvious the ticket wasn't altered and it's still easy to read the numbers.

Do what she would do... Let her sit down there for a pair days and think about her actions. Somewhat rough love! Spend the cash on powerball tickets, and inform her you're spending the money on it... And tell her she better pray to God that you hit the numbers, purpose if you happen to don't she may be in there just a little longer than she thought!

It makes no difference whether the clerk accepts it or not. He will stick it into the lottery computer, and the computer will either read it or it won't.
If the computer can't read it, the clerk will say something like, "Sorry, the computer can't read this", and then you'll have to fill out a new slip.
