A painful bump behind my last tooth in the back of my mouth?

I just turned 18 two months ago and all of a sudden today there's some kind of bump feeling in the back of my mouth on the right side behind my last tooth. It feels like my gums are swollen I think. And it hurts a lot. What could this be?

You need to see a dentist as soon as possible. Sounds like an infected tooth. Maybe an abscess. You may need antibiotics from the dentist. I left the dentist today. I had an abscess on my gum above my tooth. My dentist handled my care. The abscess look just like a pimple. Its filled with puss. Do not pop it.
