Drinking liquor in German airport?
I am going to be having a long 7 hr layover in Frankfurt. Am I able to buy beer or liquor and drink it next to my gate in the waiting area while I wait and relax?
I'm 22 yrs old :)

No problem when you're 22; but you can be denied access to a plane (or even a train, bus, or taxi) when you appear "seriously drunk". Having a "Schnaps" during your layover in Frankfurt will be perfectly legal, but drinking a whole bottle of Vodka will certainly not be appreciated. Instead of landing at your destination, it can land you at the "sobering cell" (deutsch: Ausnüchterungszelle) at Frankfurt airport police.
Why don't you go for a decent meal on your 7hr layover? Frankfurt has plenty of restaurants with 24h service.

There are a number of very nice bars in Frankfurt airport. However I suggest you do not spend the entire 7 hours sitting in one and drinking. You would be so sloshed they will not let you on the plane. Buy a book or magazine, available in different languages, maybe have a meal in one of the restaurants. Frankfurt Airport is quite large and well equipped.

There are bars in most airports. I'm sure you may sit in the lounge of the bar and have a drink.
Assuming you are of age (18 in Europe).

You can have a drink or two, but if you get too drunk, they might not let you board the aircraft.
