transfer game save from one ps3 to another?
Ok, I know & understand the methods to transfer, backup and what not. My lil bro is getting a PS3 & I want to copy all his files on his system off mines. My PS3 has 500GB & his will have 320, so I really can't backup an then restore on his system. Also I do not have enough space on any of my external HDDs. So what method can I do? I would just copy each of his saves and put on system, but some are copy protected. Also might effect his trophy progress if I'm not mistaken. And Data transfer utility will delete EVERYTHING on my PS3 and copy on his, do not want to go through pain of re-downloading purchased games, nor loosing my saves.
@DaffyDill I have PS Plus, and yes there are separate PSN accounts. Luckily new system comes with 30 day PS Plus trail, I will attempt this method once he gets his system next week

I'm starting with the assumption you and your brother have separate accounts.
You brother won't lose any trophies if he uses the same account. The game saves shouldn't be copy protected. You other option to get his game saves on his system besides swappin a thumb drive between the two systems is to get a 3 month PlayStation Plus account (on his account). You can the use the 1GB of online game save storage to swap them between the two systems.
Basically your brother signs in on your PS3 and copy them to the online game save storage. He deletes everything off your PS3 then signs into his account on his PS3. He can then download them off the online game save storage. 3 month PlayStation Plus is $17.99. Its how I did it anyway from my old PS3 to the new one.
