Would the TSA search me if it looked like I had drugs in my bag?

I'm from Albuquerque, and I'm flying to Denver for the weekend. I want to bring one of my friends a bag of rock candy that looks like the blue meth from the show "Breaking Bad", but I don't want them to search me or anything. Would they? I'm only allowed one carry on

Just keep the candy inside your carry-on when you go through the checkpoint. Chances are you will have no problem. TSA's main mission is to prevent weapons and explosives from getting on board commercial aircraft.

You'll be completely fine. If you're putting the candy in a personal plastic bag, I would label it. If you want you be extra careful, put some more types of candy in there to show that it's actually candy in case they check. They won't be too concerned, I'm sure.

They WILL scan your carry on, and if a package looks suspicious, you might be greeted by a sniff dog to ensure that it is not an illegal drug. Once the dog confirms that it is only candy, you will be allowed on board.

if they find you suspicious or screen anything in your bag that may in fact be drugs they will search your property. If they do, they will do a simple test to verify if it is in fact drugs...

but if it's not drugs then you should not worry!!!

if they do search you, don't be rude, they will make it worse!!!

Keep it in the original labled bag.

Nothing to worry about if it it candy. BUT if they suspect, they may want to have a closer look..........

Yep. That's one of the things they're there for.
