First, enable me chide you somewhat. Self-protection, and the skill to it (i.e. weapons) is a ordinary human appropriate, no longer some thing given us by utilising the 2nd modification. If there have been no 2nd modification and there have been a regulation banning inner maximum possession of weapons, it would not be the weapons however the government that must be illegitimate. i will in basic terms speculate. Being a rustic boy, i don't be attentive to any of those human beings. absolutely everyone i be attentive to is mushy with firearms. And it does look a metropolitan phenomenon. city human beings stay a wierd existence no longer nicely linked to the actual international, and that they are inundated with information memories (if it bleeds, it leads) approximately misuse of firearms, the place the regular public of use isn't viewed, and hence no longer perceived. and that they do no longer shoot, so as that they don't be attentive to what that's like. they think of ordinary human beings (and everbody's reference element for "ordinary human beings" is "me") will no longer be able to apply firearms appropriate, in spite of information that coach, case in point, that the harmless are misidentified as criminals and shot mistakenly by utilising civilians in in basic terms a tiny minority of situations, and the police make the comparable errors at a much better fee (in FL after the CCW regulation, 2% vs. 11%). there is likewise the fake impact that the police are bodyguards, yet because of the fact the previous saying went, "call for a cop, call for an ambulance, call for a pizza; see which comes first." We additionally stay in a dream international wherein we expect of we do have an armed society, yet very few actual carry a gun robotically. There basically is not any place the place maximum electorate robotically carry weapons, for a reference against which to make a assessment.

Do not blame shootings on Guns, but the nuts with the guns. It's the gun nuts mentality and not the guns.

They sure don't help the situation any. That is what these losers really want; attention, and they are given boatloads of it. Remember when that guy shot up Virginia Tech? The next day his image was plastered on the front page of every paper brandishing 2 pistols like he was some kind of badass. The media sensationalizes these shootings with nearly 24 a day coverage, so of course some lunatic glued to his TV will want to emulate the crimes. Most people form their personalities from TV anyway.

Not entirely but let's be reasonable here. You see them on the news constantly and if you're some sicko who is desperate to get famous you need to get on TV. These shooters are pretty much famous after they've killed a bunch of people I mean ask anyone if they know who Adam Lanza or James Holmes they're common household names in a sick way thanks to the media.
- Chug-a-LugLv 78 years ago
Sure would have been nice if one of those "gun nuts" had been standing at the door of Sandy Hook Elementary when Lanza showed up.

No. We still blame the evil SOB who did it. The media and the disintegrating culture just has serious influence on wack jobs.

Nope, I'm still blaming the Moral Decay of America. The Media is not helping though, sort of like throwing napalm into the fire.

They blamed a lack of prayer, movies and videogames, mental health care, and "culture". Why not blame the media?
