Best adaptation of A Christmas Carol?

What version follows the original novel as intricately as possible? I've heard that the Alastair Sim version is great.

My favorite 2 versions are "It's Christmas, Carol" with Tori Spelling and a "Diva Christmas".

That's a excellent query. I tend to believe Trevor on rather a couple of aspects. Your query 'which adaptation is the exceptional' might mean 'which is closest to the e-book' or 'which do you enjoy essentially the most'. The answer to these questions is unique for me. I really like the Alastair Sim variant probably the most and would name that my favourite. However, it's in reality a negative adaptation of the e-book. Mrs. Dilber elements method too prominently within the movie - amongst many, many others. The Patrick Stewart variant is an efficient one, although i'd like to place George C. Scott's version 2nd on my record of favourites. I've watched many, a lot of them, however need to admit the Henry Winkler adaptation ... I just cannot do it.
