Don't taxi drivers in NYC make good money,enough to raise a family and live in a big house?

I am the son of Pakistani immigrants in USA, my parents live in Oklahoma,

I started an IT company in Jackson Heights, New York, I currently live at my business, there is a separate room in my business that has 2 daybeds and a tv with an Xbox 360 and ps3 and 2 dess and a refriderator,

When we started our business we took a business loan from the Bank of America, now the bank sent us a letter saying that our loan period is over, and we have 2 weeks to vacate the office or they will send cops to drag us out of the office, or pay off the loan in 2 weeks,

I also gave a white mercedes benz sprinter cargo van that I paid for off the loan,

Me and my business partner don't have money to pay off the loan,

We have to leave the business

I need a place to live and a vehicle and enough money to live to buy food, water, and stuff like that

My Business Partner is from Amristar, Punjab, India, he came to America to attend NYU, to study computer science, he came to America on a student visa, he then fell in love with America and applied for permanent residency, and got accepted, he is still a citizen of India, he has a card to go back to India whenever he wants, after the fall of our business, we divided the remaining amount of money we had from our previous profits, with that money he bought an air india connecting with jet airways airplane ticket back to India from New York JFK to Chandigarh IXC, so he can go live with his family in India,

I'm not going back to my family in Oklahoma, I hate Oklahoma, that's why I came to New York, to study at NYU and met my current business partner, I am staying in New York no matter what, it's like heaven to me, I can't go back home to my parents in Oklahoma

When I got off the airplane and took the taxi to my college dorm 3 years ago,

The taxi driver was Pakistani, he said that he knew a man that sold taxis, he was Pakistani also, he said he gets new taxis everyday, and he will be selling taxis for 10 years straight,he has been doing it for 10 years. He gave me the taxi dealers number, and he gave me his card, I have been taking his taxi services for years, I trust him, he is like a brother from another mother to me,

He also said, that whenever Pakistanis and Indians come to New York with dreams of Computers, Music, Acting, Racing, Sports, and their dreams are ruined they become NYC taxi drivers,

I had dreams if making hundreds if millions then billions of dollars with my IT company, but my dream was ruined because of this financial crisis

And I read online that the weekly income of a taxi driver in NYC is $2000,

Is this true?

I have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science,

I tried getting other jobs such as Software Engineering but all my applications were rejected, I even tried getting a job at the apple store, but my application rejected again,

Don't taxi drivers make big bucks
