How do mormons have parties?
I was talking with my mormon friend and later I was thinking, "how do mormons have parties?" He said they can't do drugs, drink alcohol, have sex, etc... which is what happens at every party. Do they just not have parties? Or do they break the rules once in a while so they can have/or attend a party? Also, now that weed is legal (at least in my state), can mormons smoke it? The LDS website says no 'illegal' drugs, and it's not illegal. Not trying to be rude in any way, just curious. (We're in highschool, by the way- I'm talking about young parties)

They strip down to their magic underwear and dance.

I thought the point of having a party was to enjoy the company of other people, have conversation, and share in pleasant food and drink.
How did this ever come to mean that you go to hang out in a crowded room with music too loud to talk to one another and consume alcohol and drugs until you can no longer think or reason, except that "everyone" is in the same state of intoxication. Boy, that sounds fun to me, not.

You have to be sober if you want to remember the time you and your friends got together and filled a swimming pool full of Jello and made a giant slip and slide.
You also want to be sober to remember the time you attached skis to a couch and took it down the biggest sled hill in the city.
Take your friends through the drive-through. Without a car. In the formation of a car. Vehemently deny anyone who would suggest you don't have a car.
Watch Napoleon Dynamite sometime, the central thesis of the movies seems to be what do you do when you live in nowhere Idaho where there's nothing to do and drugs, alcohol, and sex aren't in the solution set.

Not all parties have to have drugs, alcohol and sex to be fun. I have many non-mormon friends who throw parties without any of these and we still have fun at them. Honestly, what we consider and joke about as "mormon" parties(we being my friends), usually have clean music and games. Not too much fun. I would advise not going to an all mormon party haha. Especially if you are used to going to crazier parties, they won't be too much fun. And for movies, you always have the classic Disney, Napoleon dynamite, Elf etc. so we have parties, but they aren't always fun.

I don't get what kind of parties you go to. I have been to many great parties that involved no drugs, alcohol, sex, or anything of the sort and have still loved them.
Us "mormons" believe that we shouldn't take anything into our body that is bad for us. we call this the word of wisdom. Seeing how weed has over 150 cancer causing chemicals in it, I don't think that falls into the "good for you" category.

Its so sad to see that parties is all about drug and alcohol.
No wonder USA is unable to compete with the rest of the world.
Mormon's code of health is for the wise and obedient,
legal or not, it is not wise to abuse drug or alcohol in any way.

all the things you listed are against our beliefs. All those are harmful to our bodies. Members are not supposed to smoke or partake of substances that harm the body and the soul. Members should not be breaking the rules no matter what.
At our parties we dance, Go to a movie, Play night games, and visit with each other.

"......which is what happens at every party......"
So sad that you have to have these things happen in order to have fun. There are many ways to enjoy onself without indulging in or having a physical and psychological dependence on such things.
