Hey Christians, your grandma and/or grandpa?
might be in my care. I am an atheist and a therapist that works in nursing homes trying to help those in the last years of their lives. What do you think of that?

I don't think so - all 4 of my grandparents died more than 60 years ago.
Even my parents dies over 35 years ago.

They have lived their lives fully, up to that point, so anything that comes along, would be just something to pass time away. Their beliefs lasted that long, nothing will change it now.
If I ever enter a nursing home, it would be so long after my life that has already past me by, that nothing will make me feel bad about it. There is nothing that can change what is in the past.
So it wouldn't matter if you or Saint Teresa was in the home, I am there just to finish out my last few years, or perhaps, few months. I would be a tough old geezer, like the Duke. Good old John Wayne.

Hey, you asked what I thought of it, and mentioned that you were Atheist, so I automatically thought you were implying that you had some affect on these people because of being Atheist. If you had said you were Communist, I would think you might be trying to convert them into being Communist.
So Religion does come into the picture, with your mention of your beliefs,and asking what I thought of it.

Well, my Grandparent's are still healthy, THANK GOD, and even if they were unable to take care of themselves, we would not throw them in a home. Second, if we did, their faith is so strong that you would come out of that home a believer.
