How do you use kurivolts effect?
So basically my question is if I controlled no monsters and my opponent had an xyz, would I be able to use kurivolt's effect without having him on the field to summon him to the field by detaching a material? Multiple answers would be reassuring. Thanks!

We just finished answering this question. Kurivolt MUST be in play for you to activate his effect. It is very simple.

Still not sure? No, you MUST already have a kurivolt on the field to summon kurivolt from your deck.
You cannot detach to summon for a kurivolt on an empty field. You can normal summon kurivolt from your hand then use its effect.
