Isnt it a bit hypocritcal?

To ban guns, but not the hundreds of video games that glorify violence or television and movies that show people getting killed in gory detail? You have set up a culture that teaches that not only is life cheap, but killing is fun! Violence isn't just tolerated it is encouraged! Then when someone who has a hard time telling the fantasy from reality goes on a killing spree you blame the gun. Why isn't there a call to get the violence out of the games and off the screen? You really shouldn't fear the gun but the generation of nut jobs who are being raised with no concept of right or wrong. Maybe the answer isn't keeping guns out of their hands, but removing the influences that create them in the first place?

*sigh*  I'm so tired of hearing this argument.  Anyone past the age of reason knows the difference between fantasy and reality.  Video games do not cause violence.  If anything, they mitigate it by providing a socially acceptable outlet.  By your logic, we should ban cars because a few people use them irresponsibly and kill other people.

The governor and the legislature make judgements correct to employment of state workers on behalf of the folk of the state.
