Do I need to get a phone number on an Ipod Touch 5g if I need to make a call?
I'm getting the IPodTouch 5 for Christmas. I know it can't make calls, but there are apps that can make calls. My question is if I get the phone app will I need to get an "apple number" to make to calls? And how would I get an apple phone number?

no, you don't need an "apple number"
if you want to use an app to make & receive calls, the app will need to give you a phone number.
