Anime recommendations?

Typed up a list of the Anime I've seen that I can remember, figured I'd get some use out of it. I don't care what the genre is really though I'd prefer to stay away from typical harems (the guy never sleep with anyone for the entire run of the anime) and anything excessively moe. (Die k-on, just die.) Here's my list of what I've seen.

dusk maiden of amnesia, arakawa under the bridge, black lagoon/second barrage, gungrave, gunslinger girl, devil may cry, trigun, cowboy bebop, FLCL, soul eater, soul taker, kara no kyoukai, serial experiment lain, bleach, naruto/shippuden, dance in the vampire bund, vandread, betterman, ninja scroll, basilisk, kekaishi, when they cry, clannad, howls moving castle, spirited away, akira, high school of the dead, kiss x sis, samurai deepr kyo, alexander, angel beats, .hack/sign/roots (unfortunetly), black butler, darker than black, blue gender, chobits, case closed, code geass, code lyoko, death note, eden of the east, fma, fmab, candy boy, gundam seed, gundam wing, gundam 00 (i think that's the name?),gurren laggan/tengen toppan gurren laggan, bakemonogatari/niesemonogatari, gaynuyasha, last excile, moribito, noein, read or die, outlaw star, samurai champloo, samurai 7, s-cry-ed, witch blade, witch hunter robin, wolf rain, shiki, blood+, trinity blood, black blood brothers

Update:

Also Mirai Nikki, I dunno how I left that out but I'm ashamed of myself for doing so.

Well if you liked Clannad I'd definitely recommend Air and Kanon, they are made by the same creators. Clannad is personally my favorite out of them, but they are all great.

You should try Claymore without a doubt it's amazing. Also, The Twelve Kingdoms, the show really takes off after the first couple episodes which made me think the show would be cliche and predictable but it's far from that. Warning if you prefer to watch anime english dubbed though, the dub with that one is awful, the Claymore dub is amazing though.

There's also Vampire Knight and Karin if you like vampires. Even if you don't, I'd still recommend them because they make the vampire concept very unique and different unlike many vampire shows I have seen. I have not seen the Karin anime but I have read the entire manga and loved it. Vampire Knight I thought was very good as well and the manga is still on going so the anime might continue.

I'd also highly recommend Durarara and Baccano. Both are made by the same person and are both the type of shows that make you think and have great twists, so if you liked one odds are you'd like the other.

If you were ok with and liked When They Cry I'd recommend Elfen Lied, though it's not nearly as much of a horror type anime, but it's still up there. It's more of a tragedy and is one of the goriest and has mild nudity, but it's not done in an ecchi way. More artistic as you will see from the opening song.

Last ones I can think of that you might like are Fruits Basket (it sounds girly but it's not, it's really for everyone and I love it) and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Hope this helps and good luck ^^

  • Well, maybe Gintama, Prince of Tennis, Card Captor Sakura, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Karin, DN Angel, Kirarin Revolution, Daa! Daa! Daa!/UFO Baby, Kodomo no Omocha, Shaman King, Maid-sama!
