As to the first, that depends on her and how strong she is willing to commit to the whole thing of being hetero. She may actually be bi in that matter.
As to the second, let's start with the basics. Anyone who is sexually active is at risk for HIV. Yes, female-to-female transmission of HIV is possible and it has happened. Unfortunately, to date there have not been many studies that have examined lesbian sexual acts and the transmission of HIV.
Semen is blood-related, thus the male-to-male transmission as well as male-to-female transmission. The rare female-to-female transmissions involved infected blood contact (one came from the 'vigorous use' of sex toys, so that blood was drawn and then transferred)
