Why is slavery wrong?

If you want to be a slave then it is not wrong. But if you want other people will be your slave then it is wrong.

I'll come over and kidnap you and make you my slaves.

Then you tell me why it's wrong.

I think the reason why it's not prohibited by religion is because religion is about power and control.

Slavery is about power and control and religion is about power and control.

So the two are brothers and they get along nicely.

If you really wish to understand why, you would have to become a slave yourself and see if it fits your personality. I've not heard of a religion that promotes slavery. I think they all speak against it

Religions have also supported stoning your child to death for disobeying you , & treating women as second class citizens
