Wash it with shampoo every two or three days. Use a hair mask or treatment instead of regular conditioner and leave it on for at least ten minutes. Make sure to alternate between moisturizing and protein/strengthening treatments. Dry your hair by wrapping it in a towel or cotton shirt until damp, about ten to fifteen minutes. Then put in some leave in conditioner and a hair oil or serum. You can put your hair in a bun, ponytail or another protective hairstyle such as scrunching it with mousse and wearing it curly. If you decide to straighten your hair, use a very good heat protectant. Some good products are the Bumble & Bumble seaweed shampoo,
Macadamia Deep Repair mask,
Alter Ego Italy Crema Midollo & Placenta hair mask
Carol's Daughter Tui leave in conditioner
Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil.
Some good websites:
Longhaircareforum.com
Curlynikki.com
NaturallyCurly.com
Tips:
Never comb your hair dry.
Always use a wide tooth comb.
Sleep on a silk pillowcase or use a silk scarf to cover your hair.
Never go longer than three days without washing your hair.
Do hair treatments every time you wash your hair.
Use heat on your hair no more than once a week.
Don't use too many hair products at one time.
Keep your hair moisturized.
Trim any damaged ends.
Never wear too tight hair styles.
Only use scrunchies or soft elastic bands without metal clasps to tie your hair back.
Invest good money into your hair products.
