I love Nora and I find it sounds much more mature than Ellie. Nora could fit any age in my opinion. If you like Ellie though what about Eleanor or Eleanora so that you could use either Ellie or Nora as a nickname depending on what you think suits her best. Just an idea. Hope this helps :)

I like Nora over Ellie! It's more unique and cute! I don't it sounds too old - I think it sounds cute for a little girl! I like it short for Eleanor, just because its a little more classy for official things and stuff. But I like Nora! Don't worry about it seeming old, I don't think it does at all, and as soon it's the name of a little kid it will seem completely little kid appropriate :)

Ellie and Nora are both nicknames for Eleanor (and Eleanora). I like all of them, but I kinda dig Lenore and Lenora, too. They *are* old names - - - Eleanor goes back to the 11th century! But all things old become new again. Use any of them without worry.

    Good luck.

i like Arabella and Eleanora, although I do think of that "Bella" and "Ellie" could be a splash too smiliar. Bella and Nora is lovable although! i in my opinion do unlike Evaangeline or Evangelia very lots although Evettte is high-quality. additionally, you may evaluate that while you're merely going to call your daughter Evie, you ought to easily make that her call in case you do not come across an prolonged version of it which you in elementary terms love. bear in mind, you may desire to easily be certain you adore your little ones names, and picture how they'll like them, and verify they'll age nicely. I additionally do merely like the call Rose, although i think of Rosie is a greater classic and previous day call, although in case you like greater classic names, it rather is great! desire this helped!

I've recently fallen in love with this name. I don't think it sounds old fashioned at all, it sounds kind of exotic to me. I like it because it is short and sweet but is quite unique. :-)
