My 9 year old son has been pulling hair out? Stress?
I noticed it started with his eye lashes than a big spot on the back of his head and now he has a spot missing from his eyebrows. Has anyone had this problem? I asked why he was doing it, he said he was bored. But I think he does it when he's on a video game and gets angry and feels he has to hurt himself. I'm not sure what to do or think.
After the holidays I do plan on taking him to the pediatrician to find out what is doing on and suggest taking him to therapy so will have someone other than his parents to talk to.
Thank you to everyone for not judging me.

That's a serious mental disorder called Trichotillomania. He could very well have it, if it's not just a one time thing. Taking him to a pediatrician is a great idea, because "I was bored" is not the right answer.. he may not even know the answer.

that is serious! & if he gets that angry at 9 over a video game where he hurts himself you gta do something now cause he is only gonna get older. Make sure he is not getting bullied at school. Don't mean to get too personal but make sure noone is touching him sexually. It can be a number of things. But the most important is trying to get him to talk and soon! Good luck
