It's not uncommon for women to store fat in their lower abdomens at all and in fact women are meant to have a bit of fat in that area its a reproductive thing. As for the rest my mom has quite severe hypothyroidism and she also has fat around the chin area and large calves could be genetics or maybe it has something to with the disease. I have it too and even though I am not overweight I do have disproportionately large calves. Just because you have hypothyroidism doesn't mean you are cursed to obesity that said it can be tricky. As a child I was overweight as well and my mom was/is obese. My mom would alternate between the worst possible fast food, Southern comfort kind of diet and extreme caloric deprivation and tasteless frozen diet meals and she would always lose about 20 lbs and then pile it right back on. I decided to go another route I chose a lifestyle based on moderation and physical activities that I actually do enjoy (I am always trying new workouts too I like to keep it fresh) and I lost the weight and am now years on fit and athletic even on the low end of my BMI. I love eating and I am always trying new recipes I do eat a huge variety of foods you want to eat a variety and find recipes you like that are quick and simple to prepare, don't rely on boxed diet foods which will leave you starving, bored, nutritionally deprived, and metabolically unbalanced.

The first thing you have to do aside from monitor your condition and medication regularly to make sure you are on the right dosage is to let go of the need for instant gratification you absolutely must not attempt crash dieting or extreme caloric restriction as this will only have negative effects on your metabolism. Think of improving the quality of your life, this is a permanent lifestyle change not a quick fix.

Don't skip meals period aim for 5 small meals or 3 moderate meals with 2 snacks the key to weight-loss is keeping your blood sugar levels stable

That said a low GI Diet will work best for you

    Divide your plate

1/2 fresh vegetables and some fruit (eat all the vegetables you like at least 5 servings a day)

1/4 lean protein which is about 2-3 oz per meal

    1/4 low GI carbs

Consume as little sugar as possible at breakfast that might mean ditching your usual bowl of cereal, fruit is okay: If you do nothing else make your breakfast ultra healthy and satisfying here are some breakfast ideas (my answer might be the longest)

If you will eat a little something sweet (I do) eat it around lunch time and then don't eat sweets in the evenings. Do not drink sweetened or artificially sweetened beverages

Avoid MSG (flavor enhancers), high fructose corn syrup, processed foods, and all diet and sugar free foods as much as possible not only are these things unhealthy they will increase your appetite and cause you to gorge. Eat as much natural, fresh, and home-cooked food as possible. Instead of lowfat diet sugar free yoghurt have Greek or natural yoghurt with fresh berries.

Do not go fat free instead get your fats from healthier sources like: avocados, olives, plain nuts and seeds, flax, and fatty fish

Get 7-8 hours of sleep and have schedule that you stick to this is really good for your metabolism my schedule is 10 pm to 6 am

Have a healthy means of stress relief such as: exercise, meditation, journal writing, socializing with or confiding in people who are supportive and positive, playing with pets, creative and/or intellectually stimulating hobbies. Reduce the amount of time you spend on the computer or watching television as these activities tend to encourage inactivity, mindless eating, depression, and feelings of loneliness

Do not sit still for more than 30 minutes at a stretch every 30 minutes or so just stand stretch or take a little walk it doesn't have to be rigorous just make sure to move this will increase your energy levels in time and make you fitter

Exercise a combination of cardio and weight-baring, yoga is great for the metabolism and can be a gentle way to introduce exercise. You must exercise to build muscle and burn fat. So your calves don't bulk up more do high repetitions of low weight when exercising the legs and avoid inclines.

Do not cut your calories under 1400 it will backfire! Here you can calculate your caloric needs

And finally don't punish yourself by skipping meals when you've gorged just resume your healthy eating at the next meal time and don't use exercise as a punishment either

HIIT (if you don't have a lot of time this is awesome)

I observed the ebook to be very informative and effortless to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply worried that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too swiftly. I will admit I have not adopted the consultant precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however as a rule) and doing little or no recreation, however the weight continues flying off. It obviously works and if I'd adopted it precisely I feel it might scare the residing daylights out of me due to the fact that of the quantity that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the understanding. I've on no account bought something like this earlier than due to the fact that they're more often than not filled with trash, however 3WD has been a quality shock. Get began at present!

Vegetarianism is bad for you. Your probably eating far too many carbs and not enough protein and fat.

For thyroid problems fish head soup could help. To lose body fat in one place you must lose it everywhere. read "Nourishing Traditions" and "Eat Fat Lose Fat" they are the best diet books I have ever read.
