pravastatin, pro or con?
I've been taking pravastatin for about a year. Recently I've been getting heartburn at night, (im on lansoprazole for acid reflux). I was watching the Dr. oz show and they were talking about the side effects of taking pravastatin. I've decided to stop taking this drug and would like to know it I should slowly ween off it or just stop taking it all together.

After a year, it's very unlikely to develop side effects from a drug.
Television, no matter who is giving out the info, isn't a reliable source of info. They tend to sensationalize things to attract viewers.
Every single side drug in the world has side effects.
If you're concerned, talk to your doctor.
