Would you ride on a cardboard bicycle?
If you can buy it for only about $40~50, I would try it. I spent about that much on QR skewers this summer.

Absolutely would give it a test ride! It is not necessarily a bike for people who use a bike as a sport, or for training. But is is likely a bike that can change the lives of millions in the way they get to,and from places in underdeveloped countries.

By the way, there was a multi page article about the bike about two months ago in BICYCLE magazine. It is very durable, is water proof, and very strong due to the manufacturing and coating products on it. Iw will last, and has been tested. Good for them!

i wouldn;t spend that on it because it can;t last over 1000 miles
more like 100
that project will never sell them for that
they will have to be at least 300 in the USA
so much of that article is complete BS or glossed-over nonsense
how would you even get a set of brakes for $20
?
it will weigh 35 lbs, not 18 or whatever the article says
it will flex and no serious rider would touch one
i;d ride it just to see
maybe pay $25 based on what i know

Yes I would.
For the price, for using mostly environmentally friendly materials, for supporting such people that think alternatively.
Its not a race bike and its not an off road one. But.. for daily commuting in the city - it looks good. No need to spend hundreds of $$$ on branded bikes made of metal or carbon (processes which create pollution).
I vote yes on this one

We have actually developed a cardboard bike. It's strong, waterproof, fireproof, and made out of recycled cardboard (so good for the environment).
