What excuses are you telling yourself to keep you from cycling to work?
Riding your bike to work is probably easier than you think it is. If you aren't commuting to work with your bicycle now, what is keeping from doing it next year? If you commute by bike now what benefits do you think you get from doing it?

None. I do it every day.
No, I know exactly how easy it is- pretty darned easy on a bike with hub-powered lights front & back.
The only thing that ever kept me from riding was overly plush or plain ill-fitting seats.
The biggest benefit is that my immune system seems stronger when I ride at least thirty miles a week. I don't get any of the colds or viruses affecting me nearly as badly nor as long as the rest of my housemates. There are other benefits, but that is the most rewarding of them all.

I ride to work almost every day. The only time I don't is when I'm sick or if I have to do an errand during the day which I can't do on the bicycle for some reason. I even ride in the rain -- even in a storm.

Because I'm RETIRED! I don't go to work anymore. I do however use my bicycle(s) for about 99% of my transportation needs now. No car. I go shopping, running errands or just plain old exercise.
When I was working - I drove a truck over-the-road. I didn't have to drive to work. I took work home with me! Ha Ha Ha How's that?
