VW terminology TSI? FSI?

I just want to make sure I understand the VW terminology?

TSI is the turbocharged 4 cylinder?

FSI is the fuel injected 2.5 five cylinder?

Generally speaking.

Thanks

It is more complicated than that I think, and it even involves Audi trying to use different terminology than VW.

As I understand it, FSI is first, and is essentially direct injection like a TDI, only on a gasoline engine and not a diesel.

Then they fixed some problems with FSI, added a turbocharger, and called it TFSI.

But TSI is something a little different I think. The latest is to take a very small engine, use direct injection as well as both a turbo charger and a supercharger, in order to get tremendous mileage, but still have lots of power. So I think TSI also implies a small engine size, like 1200 cc or something.

But I don't really keep up exactly.
