What a relief, did the 2012 questions finally stop?

Ah, fellow astronomy and space members, aren't you glad one of every 5 questions isn't about 2012 anymore? Did you win any bets? How was your "doomsday"?

Finally we can get back to science, and stop arguing with idiots.

The stupidity never ends, just the dates.

There are slready fools circulating doomsday dates in 2013, and years at least through 2020. My former astronomy professor and I have posted the names of some of those responsible for the 2012 nonsense, and a few are squealing like stuck pigs. Monica, for insance, said she isn't a troll, but does not deny possibly being a scam artist who was promoting panic to sell books that will "advise" how to survive.

Except that this morning, all the awful old troll questions are back:

    • Does it snow on the Sun?

    • Is this a real UFO on YouTube?

    • Would we feel anything in a solar storm?

    • Atheist, since your so smart, where did the speck come from that started the bang in the big bang theory?

    • I think the Big Bang theory is a pathetic bunch of garbage?

    • If yellowstone erupted. Would I be safe?

    • What would happen if an astronaut opened the ISS door?

    • What would happen if an astroid the size of Texas landed in the Pacific Ocean?

    Etc., ad nauseam...

Now we can get back to how NASA faked the Moon landings with the help of aliens discovered by the Apollo 18 astronauts who are now living in area 51.

Now they're saying Dec 24 and I've also heard feb 13 it's just a craze that won't end anytime soon.

Nah, there will be more; you can count on it. But at least the 2012 stuff will go away now, and maybe one or two people will learn from the experience not to believe that kind of harebrained stuff.

Your question was suggested by YA as the third below two questions asking about doomsday.

NASA confirms aliens talk to us through our car tires and they say Earth will be struck by asteroid on February 13, 2013.
