Is there a way to make the cd work with scratch?

I heard toothpase but i don't really know if its true?

Any advice anyone?

    no but you should have backed it up long time ago if it was something important otherwise if its not that important just download it again

    dont use shampoo or gel or any crap like that look a cd is made of basically 2 layers the plastic on the bottom wich is clear and the datalayer that is actually on the label or top of the disc itself if the scratch is on top in the data layer meaning you can see the scratch from both sides of the disc you cannot repair it because the media that holds the data itself is damaged however if your scratch is on the bottom of the disc only then you can take it into somewhere like a video store or some game stores and they have machines that can resurface your cd by removing some of the plastic that is scratched
