1998 Mustang Wont Shift Into Gear?

I have a 98 Mustang Base version with a mechanical clutch. When the car is off it shifts into all gears perfect. When the car is on and cold at first it shifts fine and the pedal is fine but when the car is warm the pedal gets very stiff and will not shift into any gear. So what's the problem? And no I will not take it to a mechanic.

Might be time for a new clutch. However, it may be some other transmission problems that only a professional would be able to tell. If it ever pops out of gear after releasing the clutch a bit, it's prob the clutch. It's a 98 so if the clutch was never replaced, that could also be it. Depends...

I had the same issue in a different car, but it wasn't my Clutch that went bad, it was my pressure plate. I replaced it and never had another issue out of it

Sounds like the clutch or pressure plate.

unless you know how to drop the transmission or replace clutch parts then take it to a mechanic.
