I can't get my ps3 to show on my tv?

I was playing a game and then switched games out, but I forgot that the first game was still playing. Then I turned my ps3 off to eat lunch.

After lunch and the game I tried turning it on and it had a blank screen.

I read online that you could hold down the power button and it beeps twice and it resets the settings but that didn't work for me, any suggestions?

I'll give 10 points to the answer that fixes my problem

    What color is the light when you turn it on? If it's yellow that mean it died cause it got too hot.

    Check your connections... maybe your wires are messed up

    Maybe you should try plugging it in
