How to upgrade from 32 bit windows 7 to 64 bit windows 8? or 32 bit windows 8 to 64 bit windows 8?

I have 32 bit windows 8, but it's upgraded from windows 7 32 bit..so can i upgrade windows 8 32 bit to windows 8 64 bit?

    Just because it requires a complete install does not mean the OP can't run the upgrade software to do that.

    it's depends on your CPU. The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a CPU handles information. So 32-bit windows suppose to be installed on 32-bit processor and also for 64-bit windows for 64-bit processor. You can install 32-bit windows on 64-bit CPU, but the performance will not be optimal. But you can not install 64-bit windows on 32 bit CPU because it doesn't meet the minimum requirement. So answering your question, you need to know first what bit your processor has. Here's how: 1. Start -> on "Search programs and files" type -> msinfo32.exe 2. On System Summary info look for "System Type" x86 = 32-bit x64= 64-bit If you find your CPU is 64-bit, then you can continue to upgrade your computer to Windows 8 64-bit, otherwise stay on 32 bit.

    No you cannot upgrade a 32bit Windows to a 64bit. You have to do a complete reinstall.

    U can't upgrade from 32bit to 64bit and vice versa.
