iTunes main folder self re-creates?
So I have a terabyte hard drive and I am making the move to transfer all my important files to that HDD. I have coped/pasted the music files to the HDD and deleted the iTunes folder there. I planned to use the iTunes folder on my HDD, however, every time I open up iTunes, the file I deleted comes back. If I add music on iTunes, the Library information on THAT file gets updated, not the one on my HDD. Any ideas on how I can use the Library file on my HDD and stop the folder from coming back after its deleted? Thanks.

Hi..
Have you looked at your settings ?
Run itunes > Edit > Preferences >Advanced " Uncheck "Copy files to itunes media folder when adding to library">OK.
If this is checked when ever you add files to the library they are automatically copied to the media folder..
I recommend you retain the default location for itunes media folder.(Music).
Because if at any point you run itunes and the external drive is not connected . itunes will just default to this location ..
And will not automatically change back when the external drive is re-connected.
This will also mean with out the itunes media folder retaining a copy of the music files the external drive must be connected for your music to play...or you will get a " ! " when you try to play your music. .
NOTE
A know problem can be If you connect other storage devices to your computer as each storage device is allocated a drive letter , the allocated drive letter is dependent on the order the storage devices are connected .
Generally this is not a problem but as each entry in your itunes library has a path/address to the music files stored on your external drive.
The path from the itunes library to the external drive must be retained..
Or You will get " ! " when the path is not correct...
This is simply fixed in disk management or connect the storage devices is another order.
