Is Truck Driving a Good Profession at the Age of 35?
I have been through a lot. I can say probably 60 per cent things that have damaged me and 40 per cent things that have been healthy. Will this just be another damaging experience?
Now, look. I'm 35 right and only have 57 credits. I'm talking about college now, in case you didn't notice. When you are 35 you often sit in a classroom with 20-25 year old students. I know it because I did it. I was there. I look young, too, like a 22 year old. So, this presents it self as a problem for me.
I would like to have my first career job and settle down with a wife and buy a house together.
Do you think it would be wise for me to drop out of college and hit the road and do the "Truck Driving Thing?"

If you want to "settle down with a wife and buy a house together" I suggest you find another occupation.
Long haul trucking is probably one of the loneliest jobs in the world. You live, work, eat and sleep alone in the cab of a truck, and the only contact you have with other people is by telephone or radio, or the few minutes you can spend joking with the teenage cashier at a truck stop when you stop for fuel and food. There is no time to establish a real relationship, let alone develop one to the point of marriage.
If you think you would enjoy being out on your own and mostly out of contact with other human beings for weeks at a time and only able to visit your home for a few days every month or so, then you can try driving a truck, but otherwise, look for something else to do with your life.

Damn yeah! But think about your possible future ways. Maybe it can be painful: but that's why everyone exist! To live the life!

It pays 65k a year, if you can handle the terrifying stress and hours.
