To what age does Medicaid still cover?

Some people say Medicaid covers until I'm 19, some others say 21. So which one is right? I live in Virginia btw.

    Both are correct in certain situations. Here is the Virginia Medicaid Handbook. It covers:

    Children ages 6 to 19, whose family income is at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty

    Income Guidelines;

    Children under age 21 who are in foster care or subsidized adoptions.

    So it covers you until 21 i you are in foster care or involved in a subsidized adoption. Otherwise to 19.
