Do you believe that "Guns don't kill people, people do"?

No, I don't. (But I do think laws protect people better than guns.)

I believe in the right to bear arms, but I don't believe the average person needs an automatic or semi-automatic assault weapon. THAT is the problem that folk are not seeing - it's not guns in general, it's the ones originally designed for war; no private citizen should need or be able to obtain any of those.

Yes, a killer can use a rock or a stick, but he comes at 30 children with a rock or stick, 29 will get away. The assault rifle allows the killer to do his business like he was playing a video game. No thought. Just kill, kill, kill.

People use guns to kill each other and guns are made to kill.... Money, hate, jealousy and anger can have u killed and buried beside someone u missed... Knives kill, bricks, hammers etc but it takes a human to use these Things to kill someone ...It's a war going on in America and all over the world someone could walk up to u and gun u down for no reason.. And some of us need protection from the cops because some of them are dirty and know nothing about "protect and serve".. Smh..

I think guns help people kill people, but at the end of the day it's still a person pulling the trigger.

Gun control can conceivably reduce the amount of murders. But the focus should always be on solving the underlying problem, which in this case is people deciding to murder. Hence, I think the best approach is moderate gun control, that preserves the right to bear arms but strikes a reasonable balance with the interest of safety, and putting more efforts into a good mental healthcare system.

If you lay a gun on a flat, stable surface, the gun will not go off by itself, correct? Also, do you think a rock can throw itself? I believe in guns and I believe that all people have a right to bear arms. More people are killed everyday by car crashes than guns, and I feel more protected when with someone with a gun than I do than with someone with a car. Point made.

Yes they could kill them just as easily but gums do alot of damage. Think of conneticut. If e would have gone in there with just a rock, the outcome would have been a whole lot different

There's no way someone armed with just rocks and sticks can go into a school and kill 20 people in less than 15 minutes.

people are basically stupid..if you put a gun in front of them, they'll use it on someone..if there is a club or a bat they'll use that..so we have to make guns hard to come by
