Is there a website that shows the busking laws (performing in public for money) for a city?

or can you tell me how to find the law on line? is there a generic city code, similar to the dewey system in the library, that you'll find philosophy in any library under 100.

for the most part, i will try and look at a city page, but occasionally, i'll see a link for performing permits, so i'm assuming that i would need one in that city to perform on the street, but i'm not even sure that i'm right.

some cops will pass you and then one cop will stop and say that you can't perform. so i feel like we can't depend on word of mouth.

Do searches using words such as "(city name)" and "statutes", "ordinances" or "zoning laws".

It is possible that you can get headed in the right direction by searching the city and busking laws.

I have researched busking laws in different cities before and the answer is generally found at a site that contains all the city statutes, hidden in one of the category links.
